Myra lets out a sigh of relief. "What happened... In the dream, I mean?"

Edward sighs and looks at him "Veeeery funny."

Logan shakes his head "It was terrible....a sloth demon if I recall....he kept taunting me..toying with me...I killed him, several times. but he just wouldn't stay dead... he kept telling me 'I'm going to take your pretty little mage girl, she's going to make a great host' or 'After I deal with her, you're next'...I kept cutting him down...it was endless...like I could've done it forever and it wouldn't have made a difference..."

Myra thinks for a second. "I don't think there are any 'pretty' mage girls here, so it doesn't seem like a premonition."

Edward looks over at him "So, why do you want to learn magic?"

Logan shrugs "Well, considering the tastes of demons and the fact that he came to me in specific, you're probably in some form of danger..."

Edward shrugs "That makes some sense..."

Logan sighs "It's not really you they want, it's your body. They don't have actual physical forms, so they take the bodies of mages as a substitute. This creates an abomination, a shell of your former self in which you are obliterated and they take over. When they possess your body, they disfigure it indirectly as well. I don't think that you'd like to see yourself like that..."

"Once they take over, the host body has to be killed. But the only other way to get rid of it is to either kill it yourself, or have your guardian kill it for you. And that's in a mage's position."
