Tower of Magi

Edward finally arrives at the tower after traveling on foot for several days, the Knight-Commander is waiting to meet him. Edward quickly puts a balled-up hand across his chest and does a half-bow to the Knight-Commander. "Greetings Knight-Commander."

Myra stares at her shoes. A mage... I never asked to be a mage.

The Knight-Commander smiles and says "Greetings Ser Kenway, I trust your trip went well?" Edward nods "Yes Knight-Commander, there were only minor delays." The Knight-Commander smiles and nods "Excellent, I am glad to have one of my best Knights at my side," Edward smiles "Thank you Knight-Commander. forgive me for my impatience, but when do I receive my charge?"

And what a humiliating way to be found... She looks up, still not knowing exactly where she is.

The Knight-Commander smiles again "You are definitely eager Kenway, but I am unsure of your charge's arrival. You will wait in the Barracks area until you are assigned a charge." Edward nods "Yes sir, I will make haste to the Barracks."

Kiru remains seated on the tree stump. He is deep in thought.

"I will speak to you later if you wish Knight-Commander." Edward takes off into the tower.

Myra sighs. "Am I supposed to fight my way out, or something?"

A Templar replies "No, you're supposed to wait until we reach the tower, once there we will release you into the custody of the Arch-Mage."

"Do I get a say in this? I mean, my brother never got kidnapped by anyone..." Myra responds. Although, he never lit a river on fire while skipping rocks."

The Templar replies, "Mages don't get a choice. And, for the sake of curiosity, who is your brother?"

"Kiru Tane... I think he died while searching for some girl... He said he met a dark-magician illusianist, and that he was going to find her, and marry her." Myra closes her eyes, remembering her brother.

The Templar asks Quizzically "Tane? As in, the Templar Axe-Knight Tane?"

"Axe-Knight? Doesn't sound like that could be him. What I hear is that he couldn't chop wood to save his life." Myra opens her eyes. But an axe-knight with my family name...

Another Templar taps his shoulder "Y'know, Ser Tane's first name *is* Kiru...d'you think it could be the same guy?" The Templar shrugs "It's possible..."

Kiru stands up. "Maybe someone might know where my mage is..."

Edward runs by and into the tower "I can't wait to get some food and rest."

Kiru walks into the tower.

Myra sighs. "I'm feeling a little motion sick."

Edward looks around, traversing his way to the Barracks.

A Templar replies "It'll be fine, the trip is almost over."

"No," Myra says, "I might throw up. We should stop so I can get out and breathe." And escape.

Kiru traverses his way to his barrack, deciding that the ones living there may be able to tell him.

A Templar shakes his head "Nice try girl, that trick won't work on us. You know our full orders are Capture *or* Kill. So if you run one of our archers have permission to shoot you." Another Templar smacks him on the head and looks back at her "It's fine, we're only a few minutes out."

Myra holds her hands into fists. They heat up, and begin to catch fire.

The caravan stops and a templar grabs her wrists, clapping a pair of shackles on her wrists, Once he does she can feel her power draining away. "I didn't want to do that, but if you're going to try to use your magic against us we have to use the cuffs. They're enchanted to keep Mages from using their powers."

Myra compares the size of her hands and the cuffs.

The cuffs instantly warp and shrink to fit her wrists so she can't get them off. A Templar says "The Circle's Enchanters do wonderfully for tools to help reduce casualties and escapes."
