Tower of Magi

Logan sighs and starts practicing again to try and keep calm.

Kiru sighs. "Nothing is happening..."

Logan stops "I should meet my charge soon, maybe then I'll have something to do."

Myra remains asleep.

Logan wanders around, going from the library and eventually to the top of the tower, looking for something to do.

Myra is on the ground, alone. She wears light white clothing.

He looks down at her and sighs "Who is this? Must be another mage judging by what she's wearing, but her positioning would label her as either a spy, thief, or troublemaker. I'd like to assume she's just a troublemaker considering she's asleep. So I guess I'll do the 'chivalrous' thing and wake her up instead of just reporting her or dragging her unconscious body to the mages' rest area...." He walks over to her and taps her on the leg with his foot "Hey, wake up."

Myra half-awakens. "w--uh? Wha'sup?"

He crouches down next to her "Well, now that you're awake, would you mind telling me your name and why you're at the top of the tower?"

Myra thinks for a moment. "I think... Yeah, my name is Myra." She looks up at him.

He stands up "Myra Tane?"

She sleepily nods. "The underage mage."

He nods and reaches down to help her up "Well, that makes you my charge. I'm Logan."

She ignores his hand, and stands up on her own, a bit wobbly. "Your what?"

He puts his hand down and sighs "I'm a Templar, I was assigned to be your guardian. So now we're stuck together."

She is suddenly completely awake, and jumos backward, away from the man. "O-oh, I.. I didn't notice...!"

He sighs "It's fine, I don't exactly wear the traditional Templar armor. I'm not just here to be a guard anyways."

Myra keeps her distance. Why is everyone a Templar?

He sees a big cobweb and he makes a small motion, the cobweb catches fire and burns away "I hate spiders, always getting into places they aren't welcome."

"Are you trying to lighten my mood...?" She asks.

"What do you mean?" He asks

"Well, I'm obviously... Shaken... And... I don't really know."

He sighs "Look, all you need to know is that I've essentially been assigned to guard you. And, I've got the same powers as you do, so I guess I'm in the same boat as you when it comes to this. I guess you and I have to learn to deal with each other for now."

Myra sighs. "Just... Please don't kill me because I cause a problem..."

He sighs "I wouldn't kill you. I'm supposed to guard you, the only time I'd ever kill you would be if you failed your test and became an abomination. And even then I'm pretty sure they wouldn't let me do it, they'd have someone who *didn't* have the same powers as you do it." He makes another motion and the entire roof above them catches fire, cobwebs burning out as they drop away and the room itself remaining completely unharmed.
