** Caleb hugs Ori back, tears streaming down his face that are hidden by his hood **
If I had been even a second quicker, you would still have your ears. I'm sorry Ori, that man had to work for someone, I'm going to find that disgusting monster, and kill them. I know it won't heal you but it will at least give me some resolution.

Pri kisses him. "That... Won't be necessary."

** Caleb nods **
Okay, but if something like that happens again there'll be no negotiations, whoever is threatening you or me will die, regardless of anything important about them.

Ori tries to smile, but is in too much pain

** Caleb looks at her concerned **
Did the doctors prescribe anything to dull any pain you're probably having?

She,shakes her head. "I'm a strong viera woman. I can deal with pain

** Looks at her a little concerned **
I've had to be a cold-blooded killer a lot and I was trained by monks for most of my early life to ignore most pains my body can experience, if I lost my ears I would want SOMETHING to get rid of that kind of pain.....

She doesn't respond.

So, I would think that you would want something to help you cope with that sort of pain...

"Caleb.. Can I tell you something... That you don't want to know?"

Tell me, I'm willing to listen, if I want to know it or not...

She sighs, looking slightly downward. "I... Can't feel anything at all. When they tried to fix my ears, they caused the feeling part of my brain to get.. Injured. There are now only a few places where I have sensation, like my hands."

They damaged your nerves? So, what places exactly CAN you feel other than your hands?

She smies. "Well, my left cheek, parts of my leg and abdomen, and my shoulder."

** Caleb looks down, now clearly depressed **
So, you can't feel anything intimate? You can't feel THOSE parts of your body?

"What do you... Caleb, I'm slowly dying, and you are sad, because you might not be able to have sex?!" She shouts, then laughs.

** Looks back up **
Dying?

"Slowly... I'll last a long time."

I guess everyone is technically dying, but i'm not worried that I can't have sex, I'm worried that YOU can't have sex, I was planning on asking you to be with me in a few days.....

"For sex, right?"

** Caleb holds his face in the palm of one of his hands **
Not JUST for sex, you're one of the ONLY woman I've actually shared something important to me with.

Ori smiles. "There are women who you can befriend who have ears and genital sensation, you know." She now smiles.
